Since 2011, TAWAH has been shaping dreams and breaking barriers, paving the way for women to thrive in the construction industry while empowering communities through the delivery of safe, dignified homes for marginalized groups.
Milestone Timeline
Empowering 27 Maasai Women Builders
In partnership with the UNESCO Tanzania Office, TAWAH trained 27 Maasai women builders and constructed two affordable, durable, and smoke-free homes in Ololosokwan.
Safe Shelter for Flood Victims
In response to devastating floods, TAWAH constructed six homes for displaced families relocated to Mabwepande, Dar es Salaam.
Inclusive Education for 135 Children
TAWAH constructed a three-classroom block for children with special needs in Pongwe.
Educating 750+ Girls Annually
TAWAH designed and supervised the construction of a master plan, two classroom blocks, and a girls' hostel in Kisarawe.
Built by Women, for Women
Established as a space for empowerment and growth, the TAWAH Vocational Training Centre has become a beacon of transformation.
11 Homes for Vulnerable Families
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Tanzania, TAWAH constructed 11 homes for vulnerable families led by women as sole providers in Mhaga Village and Chanika.
Gold Award Winner
In 2025, TAWAH reached a major milestone with the success of the Women's Knowledge Hub in Mhaga village being named the GOLD AWARD WINNER of the World Habitat Awards, organized by World Habitat in partnership with UN-Habitat.

Through your valuable support, we have been recognized globally, trained women builders across different regions of Tanzania, advanced the development of our Vocational Training Centre, created employment opportunities, and strengthened partnerships.
