Assistant Programs Manager

A young, pioneering architect whose guiding philosophy revolves around the belief that great architecture is fundamentally about people, their emotions and connections to spaces. With a hands-on, problem-solving mindset, she approaches architectural design with a strong emphasis on user experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Dar es Salaam. Her professional journey seamlessly bridges work with community-based organizations and design firms, notably TAWAH Tanzania and ALAMA Architecture, both dedicated to creating responsible and impactful designs within the communities they serve. Driven by a deep passion for sustainable design solutions, she focuses on creating spaces that prioritize user-friendliness and foster a sense of community. This commitment has evolved into a strong advocacy for mental wellness through therapeutic design, emphasizing how environments shape emotions and behaviours. Winnie is a firm believer that everyone is born a natural leader. She champions the idea of igniting one's inner spark and pursuing a purpose that leads to meaningful impact. To her, working with the community is not just about providing a service, but about living a life of purpose and transformation. She is a strong advocate for mentorship as a cornerstone for nurturing the next generation of dedicated leaders who will shape a better future.
