A young Architect with Bachelor degree of Architecture from University of Dar es Salaam 2022. Currently working with ALAMA Architecture as an assistant Architect. She is enthusiastic in exploring various aspects of Architecture to ameliorate the existing nature for the common good of better living. She puts up her creativity in working and exploring on the best optimum solutions for sustainability and vitality while focusing on User experiences with incorporated targeted design surprises.

  An undergraduate pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Architecture at Mbeya University of Science and Technology. She is a third-year student of the year 2022/2023 who joined TAWAH in 2023 as a volunteer. Veronica has developed a willingness and ambition on using her knowledge of technological design skills in solving community problems concerning poor housing for marginalized groups.

A passionate and dedicated third year architecture student at University of Dar es salaam. As a design student she has been fascinated by the built environment and its impact on society. As a firm believer in the power of architecture to positively impact people and communities, she is eager to engage in volunteer work that aligns with her values. She is excited to contribute her creativity, skills, and knowledge to the volunteer work at TAWAH. She looks forward to work on real-world projects that have a social and environmental impact, collaborating with other like-minded individuals, learning from experienced professionals, gain valuable practical experience and expand her portfolio.

NASRA ALLY RAMADHANI / VOLUNTEER

A graduate Architect with Bachelor degree of Architecture from University of Dar es Salaam. She is currently working as intern (Assistant Architect) at Kiota Architects and a freelancing architect on her free time. She is eager to know, learn new things in architectural field and put all of her creativity skills in work from different stages in order to achieve amazing designs. Apart from designing she also does arts and crafts of different things for house decorations and architectural model making.

A free lacing interior designer and small business owner with passion for sustainability and humanity. She has always been driven to make positive impact on the world and found her calling by volunteering with TAWAH. Lilian’s commitment to sustainability and humanity extends beyond her work with TAWAH. In her business, she strives to create environmental conscious designs that are both beautiful and functional. She believes that design can be a powerful tool for creating positive change and is dedicated to making difference in any way she can.

A graduate of bachelor of Architecture from Ardhi University. Leticia is very innovative and ambitious with strong grasps on maximizing the most out of building designs. She believes that life happen within buildings and space thus, she finds it fulfilling using her skills and talents to give back to the society. A third-year student at Mbeya University of Science and Technology pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Architecture. She joined TAWAH in 2023 as a volunteer. Gloria feels blessed for the gift of being able to experience different ways of creating and developing technological designs. She is interested in cooperating with other women using technological skills and talents to improve the living condition of the society, also in providing awareness to young girls on how they can use their talents and skills to improve the living condition of the community.

A Graduate Architect, with more than five years of experience in Construction industry. She has worked with different firms and institutions such as Tanzania Revenue Authorities (TRA-As a Clerk of work), Masterpiece consults Ltd, Sky Architects Consultancy and Mekon Consultancy. Dujah is Committed, Self-motivated, Honest and Reliable. She is Passionate about creativity and innovation and strongly believe in changing the world with new designs by breaking out of convectional thing and take off the blinkers formed by past experience. Apart from her professional she is also a Mom of two beautiful girls, a Fashion designer and an entrepreneur.
DOREEN GOLIATH SANGA

A fifth-year student in Architecture at the University of Dar es Salaam. Her passion for architecture extends beyond the classroom as she has participated in workshops in Arusha and competitions for innovative sustainable solutions. (Kijiji Innovative sustainable solution competition). Doreen participates in conferences that focus on social impact and women in construction and a firm believer of using her skills to give back to society and improve the quality of life for others. She is excited to apply her education and experiences to the Tanzania Women Architects for Humanity group and look forward to collaborating with fellow architects to create sustainable solutions for communities in need.

Doreen Fred / VOLUNTEER

A registered and practicing Interior Designer with both Bachelor and Master degrees in Interior Design. Doreen has successfully participated in the design and construction supervision of educational and commercial projects. Beyond her responsibilities as an Interior Designer, Doreen works as an Assistant Lecturer at Ardhi University (ARU) where she enjoys teaching the generation of future designers. Doreen is enthusiastic about directly impacting the society through design and coming up with innovative and sustainable design solutions that can elevate the livelihood of the society.
CHRISTINA LEMA

CHRISTINA LEMA / VOLUNTEER

A graduate architect from Ardhi University (ARU), currently working as a project manager at II Group Ltd, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Christina also serves as a mentor at the Women in Construction Program facilitated by the Tanzania Women Architects for Humanity (TAWAH) organization. Through various collaborations, Christina has assisted in research on areas of urban development, public art, and intercultural competence while designing with a diverse team. In 2016, recommendations from her bachelor of architecture dissertation report were featured in the approved 2016–2036 Dar es Salaam Master Plan, with credit due to AfriArch Associates, where she was working at the time. She is also a recipient of the Erasmus+ exchange scholarship, that allowed her to attend UHasselt in Belgium from 2020 to 2021 during her joint M.Arch. degree studies in collaboration with ARU. In 2021, she was featured in a ‘Flood Savers’ designing and building hackathon at Bonde la Mpunga, Msasani, that triggered her passion for pursuing humanitarian architecture. As a member of the Architects Association of Tanzania (AAT), Christina plays an active role in debates and policy discussions on developing the built environment in the country.
