The TAWAH Volunteer Program
JUNE 2019. The TAWAH team is happy to welcome new volunteers on board. The 15 volunteers are students and recent graduates of architecture, building economics and engineering from Ardhi University, University of Dar es Salaam, Mbeya University of Science and Technology, Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology, St. Joseph University and American University of Abu Dhabi. The TAWAH Volunteer Program provides former and current female university students majoring in construction related fields with hands on building skills to prepare for the construction industry job market. Tanzania Women Architects (TAWAH) teamed up with NOVA TERRA SOLUTIONS, an IT company, to support Pongwe Primary School teachers by providing a School Management System App and laptops to transform teachers from a manual to a digital way of managing students, grades and school assets. -
Tanzania Postal Bank donated desks and benches
Our appreciation goes to Mr. Sabasaba Moshingi and the Tanzania Postal Bank PLC team for furnishing our new classrooms at Pongwe Primary school. Tanzania Postal Bank donated desks and benches for students and tables and chairs for teachers. “Together we can make the change we want to see” Asanteni sana. -
TOKOMEZA ZERO CAMPAIGN
Tanzania Women Architects (TAWAH) and Women Engineers (IET – WC) were proud to officially submit drawings for the new Kisarawe Girls Secondary School to the Kisarawe DC, Ms. Jokate Mwegelo, and Kisarawe DAS Mr. Mtela Mwampamba as part of the contribution to TOKOMEZA ZERO CAMPAIGN. -
Window donation received
18pcs windows were donated by Dar es Salaam Glass Works for our Classrooms build project in Pongwe. -
