Soap making with Kawe Ukwamani Secondary school students

On 14/04/2023 Team TAWAH was delighted to return to Kawe Ukwamani Secondary School for another workshop with the WASH club students. We were happy to see that the WASH club is growing with 54 members ready to make a difference at their school. This is a tremendous development from when we started last year. The WASH club has started school vegetable gardens, held seminars on how to improve the school environment, and conducted several cleaup sessions.
Many thanks go to Lotaris Malecha, an environmental Engineer and TAWAH member, for conducting a workshop to teach students how to make soap in bulk to be used for school cleaning purposes. The aim of the soap-making workshop was not only to save money on detergent expenses, but also to equip students with skills that they can use at home or to start their businesses. We saw from the students a curiosity, enthusiasm and readiness to learn by putting ideas into practice. Thank you team TAWAH!
