It is a rewarding
experience to see ideas become reality!
On 12 June 2020 Team TAWAH
visited the Kisarawe Girls Secondary school construction site to see the progress for
ourselves. Work is proceeding
wonderfully and is nearly completed! As part of TAWAH’s contribution to the “Tokomeza
Zero” Campaign, TAWAH prepared a master plan and designed all buildings and the
landscape for the school. The goal was to create an ideal school for girls by
considering aspects of inclusiveness, safety, connectivity, and sustainability
with a focus of extra curricula activities and healthy living. Our thanks go to
Hon. Jokate Mwegelo, the Kisarawe District Commissioner and driving force
behind this project, for accepting TAWAH’s humble contribution. District
Commissioner Mwegelo has been a strong advocate for girls’ access to quality
education in Tanzania. Kisarawe Girls
Secondary School, now “Jokate Mwegelo Girls Secondary School” will be a lasting
part of her legacy. TAWAH is proud to be
part of this initiative.
